COLLEGE INTRODUCTION

UPM has prepared by 17 residential colleges for more than 3000 students. Each residential college offers a range of fully equipped and modern facilities in order to meet the needs of students.

The bulk of the residential colleges have internet access, daily housekeeping, facilities for sewage system as well as various other facilities provide comfort to the students. The University is also very caring towards students with disabilities. There are a number of specific space renovated and equipped with the appropriate facilities with the special needs for the students so that their life on campus is assured.

Kolej Serumpun is made up of Kolej Dua Belas, Kolej Empat Belas, Kolej Lima Belas and Kolej Enam Belas. All student accommodation and environmental was managed along with Syarikat Pembinaan Jayabumi Sarawak (PJS Development) with the system Build, Operate and Transfer (BOT).

Kolej Empat Belas has 5 blocks from 14 block built by PJSD where the 8 blocks to female students and 4 blocks for male students.

Block L2 Wing B - for male students (2 person per room)
Block L6 Wing B - for male students (1 person per room)
Block L5 Wing A & B - for female students (4 person per room)
Block P4 Wing B - for female students (2 person per room)
Block P7 Wing B - for female students (1 person per room)

Fourteen Colleges was managed and administered by five Principals, Professor Dr. Jamal bin Talib (2000-2003), Dr. Jambari bin Hj. Ali (2003-2005), Dr. Azizi bin Ali @ Ibrahim (2005-2007), En. Aris Fadzillah bin Abdullah (2007-2008) and Mr. Ishak bin Abd Hamid (2008-2009).

For the time being, Kolej Empat Belas administered by Dr. Omrah bin Hassan @ Hussin (SMP) and assisted by the Assistant Administrative Officer, Mrs. Norshahilda binti Md. Shahril with 4 others staff. All management activities and students activities are the responsibility of administration Kolej Empat Belas, Universiti Putra Malaysia.

Kolej Empat belas has grown with many improvement and more facilities are provided such as wakaf and dataran and students are able to carry out the activity in collaboration with the Supreme Council of Students (MTM) and other colleges. Clubs like PERKASA and Tech-Crew was came from MTM. All secretariat carries out their role well again highlighted. Good academic achievement and excellence as well as the integration of good races.
